Three weeks into my new job and I'm starting to get familiar with the many faces at work and responsibilities on my plate. At the same time I've become more comfortable with the constant shuttling back and forth between work and home.
That being said, I've also felt something insidious brewing beneath the surface. A routine is generally comforting but can be just as confining when pursued without seeking personal growth.
While I have my daily tasks to complete at work, I'm constantly finding ways to occupy myself outside of that time and space to create other kinds of great work. That isn't always very easy especially when you're tired out after a long day.
For this reason it is all the more important to stretch yourself beyond the daily grind. Your day job shouldn't be the only thing that defines you. Break out of that routine and see how far you can go.
